D2N2 network

d2n2 ev charging network guide

D2N2 is a regional public EV charging network covering Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. Operated by Charge Your Car on behalf of the local authorities’ Go Ultra Low Cities project, D2N2 users access BP Chargemaster Polar units, with discounted rates available for residents in the region.

Points are open-access for non-residents, with Polar / Charge Your Car membership allowing access, and either the Polar Instant app or contactless bank card readers are also available – depending on the point.

Membership cost (residents): £20 per annum for RFID card

Cost per charge: D2N2 residents – 20p/kWh (minimum of £1 charged) for both fast and rapid units

Contactless bank card on rapid charge points (only) – 30p/kWh

Polar Plus members retain 12p/kWh rate

To discover how much it will cost to charge an EV from a D2N2 charge point, head to Zap-Map’s Public Charging Calculator. This allows you to select any new or used plug-in vehicle, and tailor elements – such as electricity cost and charge required – for personalised results.

All D2N2 points can be found on Zap-Map by using the network filter. This can be used on the desktop and mobile apps, and displays only those points operated by D2N2.

Charging types and speeds can be filtered too, showing only those points that are compatible with users’ cars.
