GOcharge is an EV public charge point network based in Ireland, though with inter-operability with a number of networks across the UK and Europe. The charge point specialists install fast charge points – typically 22 kW units – at properties to provide a simple system for both property owners and EV drivers.
Access to GOcharge points is available on a pay-as-you-go basis for users via the network’s smartphone app or RFID fob, or by scanning the QR code at the charge point.
GOcharge network costs
Membership cost: None
Via app or RFID fob: 0.30 euro /kWh
To discover how much it will cost to charge an EV from a GOcharge charge point, head to Zap-Map’s Public Charging Calculator. This allows you to select any new or used plug-in vehicle, and tailor elements – such as electricity cost and charge required – for personalised results.
GOcharge network access
Access to the GOcharge network is made via the network’s smartphone app or RFID fob, or web portal brought up by scanning the charge point’s QR code. Payment is then taken from a credit or debit card linked to the customer’s account after the charging session is complete.
Finding GOcharge points on Zap-Map
All GOcharge points can be found on Zap-Map by using the network filter. This can be used on the desktop and mobile apps, and displays only those points operated by GOcharge or accessible using the GOcharge app or RFID fob.
Charging types and speeds can be filtered too, showing only those points that are compatible with users’ cars.
Accessing points on other networks
Based in Dublin, GOcharge operates a fast public EV charging network across the Republic of Ireland. Working with property owners to provide a turn-key solution for EV charging, GOcharge has expertise in installation, operation, management, and maintenance of charge points – all based on the Fortum back-office system.
