Citroen has confirmed UK prices and specifications for its new e-C4, as order books open for customers. The pure-electric hatchback starts from £29,190 (inc. £3,000 Plug-in Car Grant).

Citroen’s electric family hatchback has a range of up to 217 miles on a charge, available from a 50 kWh battery powering a 100 kW electric motor.

The e-C4 can be ultra-rapid charged via CCS DC charge points at up to 100 kW, keeping a charge to 80% down to around half an hour. AC charging can be carried out at up to 7.4 kW for a charging time of around seven and a half hours.

There are four trim levels available – Sense Plus, Shine, and Shine Plus – and the e-C4 is due to go up against the likes of the Nissan Leaf and VW ID.3 in the family hatchback market.

Standard equipment includes LED headlights, 18-inch alloys, a safety pack with driver assistance features, dual-zone climate control, 10-inch infotainment system with TomTom live navigation & Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, rear parking sensors and camera, head-up display, and Citroen’s Progressive Hydraulic Cushions suspension.

Prices start at £29,180 for the Citroen e-C4 Sense Plus, then £30,130 and £31,330 for Shine and Shine Plus respectively. Orders are being taken now, with first deliveries expected to start early 2021.
