EO Charging has launched a new unit that offers automatic load management for none-smart chargers – the eoALM.
Designed for households with two or more EVs, residential apartments, or small business fleets, the eoALM module is self-contained and sits separately from an EO charger.
It constantly monitors the energy profile of the building, and can prioritise charging EVs, turn down the power drain from them, or switch off EV charging altogether while the site is nearing its electricity usage limit.
Since the system is not built into a charge point, it can be combined with existing eoMini or eoBasic charge points, reducing costs by removing the need to upgrade a charge point to a smart unit.
The eoALM can connect up to six eoMini or eoBasic charge points, and can be used either to prioritise charging on a first come first served basis, or distribute charge power evenly to connected vehicles.
