Having created more than 300 episodes over the course of eight years, Fully Charged is going live! Set to take over Silverstone on June 9th and 10th, the Fully Charged LIVE show will feature every electric vehicle available to buy in the UK – plus some not yet on the market.

Robert Llewellyn and Jonny Smith will be joined by Helen Czerski for the event, with a wide ranging variety of energy and transport technologies showcased. Competitions will be run and expert advice on hand for visitors, with the event bringing together all the aspects of Fully Charged in one place.

Zap-Map will be present, and there will be at least a dozen live sessions from the likes of Ecotricity, Jaguar Land Rover, Chargemaster, the National Grid, and Nissan Energy Services.

Robert Llewellyn said: “We’re ludicrously excited about bringing Fully Charged to a live audience at Silverstone, not least because the shift to the technologies that we’re passionate about has really accelerated in recent months.

“The Fully Charged team and the show’s steering committee have worked tirelessly to include the ingredients that our audience love in a live format and we’re really looking forward to welcoming you on the 9th & 10th June. We’ve had huge support from the energy and transport sectors, but I’d like to personally thank our headline sponsors Ecotricity, and our key partners Chargemaster, Drive Electric & the Renewable Energy Association for making Fully Charged LIVE a reality.”

Zap-Map has a pair of tickets available for both days of Fully Charged Live, to give away to one lucky Zap-Mapper.

Competition question: How many rapid charge locations are there within a 15 mile radius of the Silverstone Circuit according to Zap-Map’s data?

To win the tickets, send the answer to the question above to: contact@zap-map.com – with the subject “Fully Charged Live Competition”. Include your name and email address to contact you on should you win, along with the answer – handily given below. The winner will be picked at random after the competition’s closing date (see bottom of page).

Since the event is likely to see one of the largest gatherings of plug-in vehicles ever in the UK, there will not be any additional dedicated EV charging facilities available at Silverstone.

As such, Zap-Map has highlighted the number of rapid charge locations within a 15 mile radius (as the crow flies), to make it easy to see where could be a good pick for EV drivers aiming to come to Fully Charged Live. There are 52 locations in all.

As you can see, there are a fair number in Milton Keynes, but those coming from any direction should be able to find a rapid charger that suits. Visit Zap-Map on desktop or app to find out more information about any charge point.
