Green Motion Car and Van Rental plans to further cut its fleet’s CO2 emissions by joining Merseyside’s electric vehicle movement.

The Award-winning car and van rental company, Green Motion, has now established its business at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, near Liverpool Airport, for seven months.

Green Motion boast a fleet of seventy four vehicles, that is soon to be bolstered by the arrival of four Nissan LEAF electric vehicles by the end of August. The addition of EVs to the company’s fleet reaffirms their dedication to sustainable, low cost transport and reducing CO2 levels.

The new electric vehicles will coincide with the region’s electric vehicle movement, that got underway recently with the launch of Merseytravel’s ‘Recharge’ public EV charging network.

The scheme will see 124 new Fast rated charge points introduced in the area, which Green Motion Nissan LEAFs will be able to take advantage of.

There will also be four charging points installed at the company’s base, working in conjunction with Crowne Plaza and the Green Tourism Board.
