ICEE Managed Services has partnered with Schneider Electric distributor Rapid to create a ‘one-stop-shop’ for EV charge point installation. The agreement creates a new service, aimed at supporting charge point roll-out for businesses and local authorities.

The two companies will work together to offer a service that includes equipment selection, supply, installation, comissioning, and lifetime maintenance of EV charge points.

To support the new venture, ICEE is now an OLEV authorised installer under the Workplace Charging Scheme. This means businesses can claim funding towards the cost of installing charge points, with up to £300 per socket for a maximum of 20 sockets.

The news comes as the UK Government revealed recently that very few local authorities have taken advantage of its £4.5 million budget, set asside specifically to encourage councils to install on-street charge points.
