Nissan has revealed specification and pricing details for the new LEAF, with customer deliveries set to start in February. The new 40kWh model will be available from £21,990, including the £4,500 Category 1 Plug-in Car Grant.

Following the Visia as the entry level model comes the Acenta, N-Connecta, and Tekna to support the Zero launch edition model we already knew about. The Acenta starts at £24,290 with the N-Connecta available from £25,990. The Zero edition is available from £26,490, while the range tops out in Tekna trim from £27,490 – all inc. PiCG.

Those prices put the new LEAF on a par with the outgoing model, with prices a little higher or lower for comparative trims. That’s despite the fact that the new LEAF boasts a 50% increase in the official range available – up to a quoted 235 miles NEDC – and a 38% increase in power to 150hp (110kW).

The Zero limited edition model is limited to 1,500 units, but the rest of the specification line-up has no such restrictions. Equipment for each trim level is yet to be confirmed, though Nissan is promising that ProPILOT semi-autonomous driving systems, ePedal, and advanced safety systems will feature in the new LEAF range.
