Peugeot has released the e-Expert – a pure-electric van with a range of up to 205 miles on a single charge.
The e-Expert completes the electrification of the PSA Group’s triumvirate of medium vans, following Citroen’s ë-Dispatch this week, and the Vauxhall Vivaro-e at the end of last month.
The e-Expert shares the same platform and Peugeot has decided to offer the same powertrain options. This means there’s a 50 kWh battery available for a range of up to 143 miles on a charge, or a 75 kWh pack providing the headline 205 mile range.
Charging sees a 7.4 kW on-board charger fitted as standard, though there’s the option for an 11 kW on-board charger. Rapid DC charging at up to 100 kW is possible via the CCS inlet.
Three driving modes are available, with Eco limiting the motor’s available power to 60 kW for improved range, Normal providing 80 kW, and Power offering the full 100 kW – designed for good performance even when fully loaded.
Payloads of up to 1,275 kg are possible from the e-Expert, which comes in a range of three body styles. and the electric Peugeot LCV is rated to tow up to one tonne.
Prices are set to be confirmed closer to launch, with the Peugeot e-Expert expected to go on sale in the second half of 2020.
