The Rapid Charge network (RCN) is nearly at the half way point with 36 out of 74 of the planned rapid charging points now installed across the UK and Ireland.

Having had some delays in the programme due to a large number of sites needing additional power connections, the project is now in full flow with 90% of the sites confirmed and nearly half the number of charger installed.

What’s more the points that have been installed are showing good levels of usage. Overall, there has been over 9,000 uses to date, equating to 293,500 electric miles driven.

The RCN is currently moving on with progress to finish the remaining Welcome Break sites which will be installed over the next few months.
