It’s been a long time coming, but Tesla has finally launched the Tesla Model X.

Originally slated to go on sale in early 2014, the electric SUV is now officially hitting the roads in the US (the European launch is still to come).

The seven-seater’s most notable feature is it’s falcon doors. Importantly, the open upwards instead of outwards to ensure they are practical asset not just for showboaters.

What’s equally impressive is acceleration and speed. The car can reach 60mph from a stand still in 3.2 seconds and hit 155mph.

The 100% battery electric vehicle boasts highly advanced sensors that enable automatic emergency braking and other autonomous driving features.
