Zap-Map is delighted to be shortlisted for the inaugural Business Green Technology Awards which are celebrating the most exciting and innovative clean technologies in the UK today.

Shortlisted in the App of the Year category, Zap-Map is among a list of digital applications which are all making an important contribution to tackle climate change and other environmental challenges:

– Blueair AB – Blueair Friend app
– CloudApps – Sustainability Cloud
– DriveNow UK Ltd – DriveNow app
– Next Green Car Ltd – Zap-Map app
– Do Nation – Do Nation online platform
– Utilitywise – Utilitywise app

This category covers the digital experience from desktop across mobile and iOS/Android platforms. Zap-Map, initially launched in 2011 as a desktop only application with 752 points mapped, has been through a number of iterations: released as a responsive site in 2014, then onto iOS/Android platforms in March 2015 and now with new community features (Zap-Chat), advanced filters and route-planning in Zap-Map 3.0 released this week.

Within weeks the new features will be rolled out on an updated version of iOS/Android app. Going forward Zap-Map will continue to innovate to deliver smart digital tools for EV drivers. As an indication of the growth in the EV public charging infrastructure market, there are now over 3500 locations and 9000 connectors mapped on Zap-Map.

Winners to be announced at the awards event on Friday 27th November. See the details on the Business Green Technology Awards and full shortlist across seventeen categories here.
