LEVC has agreed to supply 30 new VN5 electric vans to bp pulse, for use by the EV charging network’s electricians when installing charge points across the UK.
The range-extended electric van uses the same platform and powertrain as the popular TX5 black cab increasingly found in London and other UK cities, and has been designed, engineered, and built in the UK.
With more than 60 miles of electric range, plus the back-up of a compact petrol engine to recharge the VN5’s battery pack, the LEVC LCV can cover more than 300 miles from one tank/charge.
The new models mean that around half of bp pulse’s fleet is now electric, and the VN5 is the first EV van to be used by the network.
With some models already in use and on the road, the conversion has been carried out by LEVC’s official partner Sortimo, creating tailored storage solutions for bp pulse’s electricians.
