Car manufacturer Nissan Motor GB approached Zapmap wanting to ensure an integrated electric motoring experience for its customers.
With zero-emission vehicles playing an increasingly important role in Nissan’s future, and Zapmap having established the most comprehensive map and dataset of charging points in the UK, both companies were keen to explore ways to make charging as simple as possible for EV drivers.
Nissan GB decided to work with Zapmap to provide purchasers of Nissan electric vehicles with a subscription to Zapmap Premium. This enhanced version of the app includes in-car support via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, enabling EV drivers to access Zapmap in their car, see live charge point data, access route plans, and link to navigation apps for turn-by-turn directions.
“This partnership is a logical next step as both companies continue to pave the way for intuitive electric travel.”

With a simple activation process, the Zapmap Premium offer is available exclusively to new retail orders of eligible Nissan electric cars until September 2023. The subscription partnership offer applies to private and business orders for new Nissan EV passenger cars, with Nissan communicating the details directly to eligible customers.
“Nissan is thrilled to be partnering with Zap-Map in this exciting move towards more integrated electric motoring,” said Nic Thomas, Marketing Director at Nissan Motor GB.
“Nissan have always been pioneers of the electric vehicle market and Zapmap leads the way for charge mapping. This partnership is a logical next step as both companies continue to pave the way for intuitive electric travel.”
As a result, Nissan’s partnership with Zapmap means its new EV customers can now receive three years’ free subscription to Zapmap’s Premium service, enabling them to plan electric journeys quicker and drive smarter with in-car support through Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.
Nissan Motor GB operates as an automotive company, serving customers in the United Kingdom and offering new and used cars, vans, parts and accessories. It is owned by the European division of Japanese car manufacturer Nissan.
