EQUANS, which owns and runs GeniePoint, partnered with Zapmap to include GeniePoint in the Zap-Pay partner network.
GeniePoint comprises a range of rapid and destination chargers across the UK at locations such as Morrisons and Premier Inn. EQUANS wanted to ensure the network was offering the greatest simplicity and convenience for EV drivers when paying for charging.
EQUANS chose to rollout Zapmap’s payment solution across the entire GeniePoint network in order to make it as easy as possible for drivers to charge, providing a simple way to pay for charging across networks.
As a single-app payment system, Zap-Pay avoids the hassle of using multiple apps across the various different networks. It also means that EV drivers can search, plan and pay for charging all within one app.
“We are very happy working with the Zapmap team and the volume of transactions we have seen via Zap-Pay.” - Dee Humphries, EQUANS
As a result, GeniePoint’s integration with Zap-Pay has seen EV drivers across the country receive greater choice, simplicity and convenience when paying for charging.
“We are very happy working with the Zapmap team and the volume of transactions we have seen via Zap-Pay since going live in April 2022, which provides Zapmap’s large user base of EV drivers with a simple and convenient payment solution across the GeniePoint network,” said Dee Humphries, Managing Director EV Solutions, EQUANS.
Ultimately, with EQUANS focusing on ways to improve drivers’ experience at GeniePoint chargers, the Zap-Pay integration makes payment that much easier for anyone using the network.
EQUANS UK & Ireland’s specialist EV Solutions business – which owns and runs the GeniePoint network – provides integrated EV charging solutions, including design, hardware, installation, operation and project management.
