Following over 100 high-power chargers installed in 2022, GRIDSERVE is accelerating into the new year with 32 new high-power, or ultra-rapid, chargers opened at four new Electric Super Hubs in January.
The new chargers are capable of up to 350kW and are powered by net zero carbon energy. They are also located on some of the UK’s busiest roads.
For those heading to Stonehenge on the A303, eight ultra-rapid chargers are now live at Solstice Park. Reading Westbound on the M4 is now open with 12 ultra-rapid chargers, while Pease Pottage has six ultra-rapids. To help boost the EV charging network on the M40, Cherwell Valley also has six ultra-rapids for EV drivers.

With over 180 ultra-rapid chargers across the UK, GRIDSERVE, and the GRIDSERVE Electric Highway it runs, now has chargers at around 170 locations, and is currently delivering over 10 million EV miles into the UK’s electric vehicles every month. The charging provider also operates around 270 rapid and 160 fast devices across the country.

As well as its Electric Super Hubs, GRIDSERVE also operates two even larger charging hubs in its Electric Forecourts at Norwich and Braintree. The company has begun construction of a third Electric Forecourt at London Gatwick Airport, and has plans to install many more of these charging hubs in 2023 and beyond.
All GRIDSERVE chargers feature both CCS and CHAdeMO connectors, accept contactless payment and provide real-time status updates on Zap-Map, making it as easy as possible for customers to charge their EVs.
