Kia has announced that it has secured increased numbers of its e-Niro pure-EV crossover for the UK, significantly reducing waiting times for customers.

Having been highly sought-after since launch, Kia has struggled to keep up with demand in the UK. However, with increased allocation, lead times are shorter now than they have ever been.

Kia is saying that customers who order a new e-Niro now can expect their car to arrive in September, in time for the new number plate, or during Q3 2020.

The new models are also helping reduce existing waiting times, which will further boost Kia’s sales in the short term. The Korean firm delivered more e-Niros in July 2020 than it did in all of 2019, and August’s figures could top that again.

As well as the e-Niro, Kia has also got additional supply for its Soul EV, both of which – thanks to recent upgrades on the e-Niro – get Kia’s latest infotainment and connected car systems.
