Elon Musk and Tesla have revealed their latest innovation, designed to enable a global shift in power generation, from environmentally damaging fossil fuels to renewable solar energy.
The Tesla power wall is a home battery that charges using electricity generated from solar panels. It fortifies homes against power outages by providing a backup electricity supply.
It offers independence from the utility grid and the security of an emergency backup without taking up large amounts of space.
Furthermore, it gives electric vehicle drivers the option to further reduce CO2 emissions and run on 100% renewable energy.
The cost of these packs are $3500 and they symbolise a movement by Tesla to revolutionise the way electricity is powered across the world.
