UK EV charging provider char.gy has reached a major milestone: 1 million charging sessions completed on its network. The achievement highlights not only the surge in EV adoption but the growing demand for reliable, accessible on-street charging, especially for those without driveways.

1 million sessions delivered, over 23M kWh (23,300,000 kWh) supplied. 16.7 million kg CO2 saved (16,676,322 KG), and 81,590,322 miles electric miles enabled.

With more than 4,000 charge points installed and many more on the way with the announcements in Brighton and Barnet, char.gy is fast becoming many drivers’ preferred CPO, serving communities where home charging isn't an option.

“Reaching 1 million sessions isn’t just a number, it’s a sign of how essential local, accessible charging has become to everyday drivers,” said John Lewis, CEO of char.gy.

“Our mission has always been to make EV ownership possible for everyone, and this milestone shows we’re well on our way.”

“As we hit this milestone, we want to thank the drivers, councils, and communities who trust us every day,” said Lewis. “Here’s to the next million.”

char.gy has set out its plans for the road ahead, with a focus on scaling its network, enhancing service, and driving sustainability. The operator aims to reach more communities by expanding into underserved regions, making EV ownership a realistic option for everyone, everywhere. It is also looking to lead on reliability and affordability, setting the standard for uptime and fair pricing across the sector. In addition, char.gy plans to partner for the long term, working closely with councils and communities to deliver future-ready infrastructure where it’s needed most.
