Electric vehicle (EV) charge point supplier Evolt will be showcasing four new products at the Cenex Lov Carbon Vehicle (LCV) event next month.

The event, which takes at Millbrook, Bedfordshire, between 14th and 15th September, will see the first live demonstration of Evolt’s e-stor energy storage solution. This uses second-life EV batteries to store energy to charge plug-in cars.

When an EV uses a rapid charger connected to e-stor, it will draw power from the unit, reducing the load on the national grid.

Connected to the e-stor unit will be Evolt’s latest 50kW Tri-Rapid charger, which can charge two EVs at the same time to the standard 80 per cent charge in 30 minutes.

The company will also show new 22kW and 7kW fast charging units at Cenex LCV. The faster Raption charger is smaller than its predecessor and can recharge two EVs simultaneously in an hour. The 7kW lamp post charging solution will also be presented, designed to be attached to lamp posts, saving the amount of pavement furniture created.

Justin Meyer, General Manager of Evolt, said: “Consistent innovations are required to capture the demands and requirements of a rapidly growing industry. Our latest solutions further enhance reliability and cost-efficiency, and ensure that we can provide the most appropriate charging solution for every application.”
