Mitsubishi and Ovo Energy have collaborated to offer new Outlander PHEV customers 10,000 Free Green Miles. The offer is aimed at encouraging drivers to maximise their electric driving through regular charging.
New Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV retail customers between 1st February and 31st March will be given the chance to switch to Ovo’s EV Everywhere home tariff – backed by 100% renewable electricity.
Once switched, customers will get £20 credit each month for two years, encouraging customers to use the 28 mile (WLTP) range available. With the average daily round-trip commute at 20 miles, the offer looks to boost home charging for the Outlander PHEV.
Ovo’s tariff also lets customers pick a charging solution that best fits, with either a free smart home charge point or Polar Plus membership included as part of the EV Everywhere bundle.
Those behind the deal calculate that 10,000 miles in electric mode represents a 1,610 tonne reduction in tailpipe CO2, when compared to a car that produces 100 g/km CO2. EV mode also improves local air quality, offers reduced noise pollution, and is better suited to urban driving cycles.
