Renault has given its Kangoo van range an overhaul with significant improvements across the range – including the all-electric Z.E. model. Changes for the comapct LCV come in the shape of extra standard equipment and new engines across the board.

All Kangoo vans, including the Z.E., will now have a full steel bulkhead for added safety, and will have multi-position points in the Crew Cab models. All Kangoo models will also come with DAB radio with USB and AUX ports as standard.

Kangoo Z.E. vans will come in Business specification as standard which includes load area lighting, roof bar fixings, hill hold, electric front windows, variable power steerings and improved securtiy equipment. The Z.E. models also feature a wall mounted Type 2 charging cable, a recharging socket, Z.E. onboard computer, pre-heating/cooling and low-rolling resistance tyres. The Z.E. Voice pedestrian warning system also comes as standard.

The Kangoo Van Z.E. has an official range of 106 miles, with real world quoted at 84 miles and extreme winter conditions bringing that down to 53 miles.

Prices excluding VAT start at £12,994 for the Z.E. with battery hire and £12,161 for Z.E. outright purchase (after the Government’s Plug-in Car Grant). All variants are available to order now.
