Green energy equipment firm myenergi will benefit from £1.2 million of investment from two leading businessmen, which will help accelerate the Lincolnshire-based company’s growth.

Manufacturer of the zappi smart EV charger, myenergi now has support from Sir Terry Leahy and Bill Currie. The investment will allow the team at myenergi increase in size and up production of products like zappi.

An OLEV-approved product, zappi is available to be fully installed with a £500 Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme grant. It can charge EVs using load-balancing technology, reducing power to the car when the house has a high electrical load, before then topping-up the plug-in car on economy rates.

The charge point can also be incorporated with home-owners’ own electricity generation systems, such as solar panels or a wind turbine, allowing for completely green motoring.
