Zap-Pay coming soon: ChargeMyStreet is a community project, creating a network of fast EV charge points for drivers without access to off-street parking and domestic charging.
Currently based in Lancaster and Cumbria, the aim is for every home to be within 5 minutes’ walk of an EV charge point, to support the uptake of plug-in cars. Access is via the EO app, with memberships available for regular users.

To discover how much it will cost to charge an EV from an ChargeMyStreet charge point, head to Zap-Map’s Public Charging Calculator. This allows you to select any new or used plug-in vehicle, and tailor elements – such as electricity cost and charge required – for personalised results.
ChargeMyStreet network access
Access to the Charge My Street network is made via the network’s smartphone app, which uses EO Charging’s system. PAYG users can use the EO app, while ChargeMyStreet members can sign up for a regular account. Payment is then taken from a credit or debit card linked to the customer’s account after the charging session is complete.
Finding ChargeMyStreet points on Zap-Map
All ChargeMyStreet points can be found on Zap-Map by using the network filter. This can be used on the desktop and mobile apps, and displays only those points operated by ChargeMyStreet.
Charging types and speeds can be filtered too, showing only those points that are compatible with users’ cars.
Accessing points on other networks
ChargeMyStreet’s points are only accessible by network customers. Likewise, customers of other networks are not able to use ChargeMyStreet points without first either creating an account with the network, or paying the pay-as-you-go fee.
ChargeMyStreet is a community benefit society that installs electric vehicle charging points for homes without off-street parking. With the majority of EV charging done overnight at home, ChargeMyStreet will look to install charge points at car parks close to suggested locations.
