Engenie has installed its first rapid chargers in Cardiff, as part of a project that will more than double the number of rapid devices in the Welsh capital.

Powered by 100% renewable electricity, each site will be located in key areas within the city. The first two points are on Bute Crescent and Howard Place, with two further sites at Windsor Place and King Edward VII Avenue due by spring this year. By mid-2020, there will be 12 chargers across six sites from the network.

Each charger is a 50 kW double-header unit and is accessible by contactless bank card with no membership or connection fees.

All charge points will appear on Zap-Map as they go live, with live status updates available through the desktop site and apps, since Engenie is a dynamic data partner.
