InstaVolt has given a helping hand to Charlotte Smith, the 13-year old who is on a mission to hand out ‘EV Thank You’ cards to drivers. The cards thank them for helping reduce emissions, protecting childrens’ health.

Having completed a primary school science project on the benefits of electric transportation, Charlotte has been giving out personalised thank you notes, with the figure now topping 3,000 cards. Travelling around to hend them out, Charlotte and her father Steven have racked up more than 50,000 miles in their Nissan Leaf.

To support Charlotte and her father, InstaVolt has given the family an RFID card for use on their points for the next two months. It will allow for free charging on the network’s rapid units during the summer, helping continue her work easily.

Although mainly focused in the UK, Charlotte’s deliveries have seen her travel across Norway and the United States too, with recognition aso coming from the Queen.

Charlotte said: “I am extremely grateful to InstaVolt for their incredible support. Since the beginning of my EV Thank You campaign just two and a half years ago my objective has remained the same – to thank every pioneering zero emission vehicle driver for helping to protect all children’s health. That is why I wanted to personally thank every EV driver on behalf of all children – as the campaign represents all children.”

As Charlotte’s biggest supporter, Steven said: “Charlotte’s resilience is inspiring – she spends all of her free time spreading this important message for the greater good. When EV drivers receive their cards, you can see that they become quite emotional for the recognition of their part in creating a better future. It is a pleasure to witness and makes me even more proud of the hard work that Charlotte does.

“Charlotte has made it quite clear that she doesn’t want to stop until we take our campaign to as many locations as possible – and thanks to InstaVolt we are set to have another successful summer getting her message out there to help out future generations. For that we are extremely grateful.”

Further information about the campaign, and the ability to donate towards the work Charlotte is doing, can be found at her Patroen page.

Zap-Map is the proud owner of one of Charlotte’s cards, having been delighted to receive one towards the start of her campaign. Charlotte, Steven, and other EV drivers can find InstaVolt units with live status updates on Zap-Map.
