Fiat has confirmed UK pricing and specifications for the E-Ducato, its pure-electric large van.
Starting at £47,675 (exc VAT inc PiVG) the E-Ducato has a range of up to 148 miles on a charge, and comes with a choice of two battery options.
The 79 kWh E-Ducato has the headline 148 mile range figure, though there’s also a 47 kWh model with a range of up to 78 miles on a charge. Those figures rise to 192 and 99 miles respectively for the WLTP City range – that completed within an urban environment.
The E-Ducato is Fiat’s first entry into the electric vehicle market – a pure-EV Fiat 500e is on its way – and both will charge at up to 50 kW from DC units. AC charging is possible at up to 7 kW on the 47 kWh model and 11 kW on the 79 kWh E-Ducato.
Three driving modes are available – Eco, Normal, and Power – with the E-Ducato powered by a 90 kW electric motor, providing 280 Nm of torque.
There are two trim levels and three main configurations on offer. Trims come in standard and eTecnico, whilst the E-Ducato is available as a panel van, chassis cab, and passenger van.
The panel van is available in two different heights, and three wheelbase wheelbase sizes. The chassis cab is available in three lengths and four wheelbase sizes.
The passenger van can be configured with between five and nine seats, and both battery packs are available on all configurations. The maximum payload for the E-Ducato is up to 1,950 kg, and load areas range from 10 to 17 m3
Entry level specification includes a 5-inch touchscreen with DAB and Bluetooth, climate control, tablet holder, USB charging, and automatic wipers & lights. Moving to eTecnico adds a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay / Android Auto connectivity, sat-nav, rear parking sensors and camera, and leather steering wheel.
Orders are being taken now, with deliveries expected in the final quarter of this year. Prices start at £47,675 excluding VAT but including the UK Government’s Plug-in Van Grant.
