GeniePoint is offering key workers free EV charging, aiding essential travel during the coronavirus outbreak.

The offer enables free EV charging on the network’s points for the key workers in the following areas:

• Health & Social Care
• Education & Childcare
• Key public services
• Local & national government
• Food & other necessary goods distribution
• Public safety & national security
• Transport
• Utilities, communications, & financial services

The offer is available across the GeniePoint network, plus the Revive network in the South West and Dragon Charging network in Wales. Both of these networks are operated by GeniePoint.

To register an account for free charging during this period, email GeniePoint at geniepointsupport@engie.com providing details of your registered name, registered email address, and key worker role. Customers are asked not to call the customer services number in this instance, to leave lines available for those requiring assistance at charge points.

As with other networks offering similar services, the use of public EV charge points should only be used for essential travel by key workers, and users should follow government guidelines on hygiene and social distancing.
