EV drivers will be able to charge their car for free from ubitricity points on Wednesday 9th September, as part of World EV Day.

The lamppost charging specialists are partners of the event, which looks to highlight the benefits of electric vehicles in a worldwide event.

The FREECHARGE offer will see all ubitricity units free to use for EVs plugged in between 00:01 and 23:59 on Wed 9th September – World EV Day.

Daniel Bentham, Managing Director of ubitricity UK, said: “In support of World EV Day and to reward existing and new customers for making the transition to electric vehicles I am very pleased to launch the first FREECHARGE event from ubitricity.

“On the day I hope as many people as possible seek out their nearest ubitricity charge point to take advantage of 100% renewable electricity that is 100% free.”

Zap-Map is both a founding partner of World EV Day alongside ubitricity, and also has live status information available for ubitricity’s network of points.
