The GeniePoint Network has agreed to become part of the Renault Z.E. Pass app when it launches in the UK later this year. The move means that Renault’s EV customers will be able to pay for the networks through the Z.E. Pass app, making cross-network accessibility easier.

Drivers can navigate to GeniePoint units – which will have live status updates – before then starting the charge with the RFID card or app. This will then be linked to their Renault account for payment.

Alex Bamberg, Managing Director at ChargePoint Services – which owns the GeniePoint network – said: “Working alongside Renault to develop this integration between the GeniePoint Network and Renault’s on-board navigation system has been very exciting for ChargePoint Services.

“Making EV charging a simple and stress free process for our customers is fundamental in driving the shift to adopting electric vehicles as the conventional choice for vehicle purchase in the UK.”

You can easily find GeniePoint units on Zap-Map by using the network filters.
