Renault’s new Zoe 40 is set to mark its launch at the Paris Motor Show with four of the longer-range models entered into the e-Rallye Monte Carlo.

Starting today (Wednesday 12th October) and running until Sunday 16th October, the e-Rallye Monte Carlo sees zero-tailpipe emission vehicles run from Fontainebleau, near Paris, to Monaco.

Renault has won the previous two times it has entered the event – 2014 and 2015 – and will be even stronger this year as the new Zoe 40’s range is now quoted at 250 miles, almost double that of the older version’s.

Sanctioned by world motorsport governing body the FIA, the e-Rallye Monte Carlo will have a field of 36 zero-tailpipe CO2 emission vehicles running the course this year. Drivers will cover 220 miles competitively, including taking in the famous Col de Turini.
