Audi A3 Sportback e-tron awarded top marks in Euro NCAP safety test

The recently released Audi A3 Sportback e-tron has met Euro NCAP’s requirements for a maximum five star rating.

Euro NCAP concluded that the Audi plug-in hybrid vehicle has excellent all-round crash protection and gave extra credit to the autonomous emergency braking system available as an option.

The Kia Soul EV was also evaluated in a crash test, just falling short of the maximum rating with 4 stars.

The Soul EV comes equipped with side-air bags, which helped it achieve an 84% and 82% score for adult and child safety respectively. Areas it was marked down on were: pedestrian protection and the lack of autonomous braking system.
