Extra MSA to expand EV charging capacity fourfold

Extra MSA is making a further commitment to the EV transition through extending its partnership with IONITY. It will grow from 60 350kW ultra-rapid charge points to a total of 234 provided by across its eight MSAs in England.

24 350kW ultra-rapid IONITY charge points are now live at Extra motorway services at Cambridge (A14(M11), J24), Cobham (M25 J9/10) and Peterborough Services (A1(M) J17 & A605). 

The company will also be expanding its EV capability across Leeds Skelton Lake (M1 J45), Blackburn (M65 J4) and Baldock Services (A1(M) J10) from now until the end of the year.

IONITY shares a live data partnership with Zapmap, meaning that users of the Zapmap app can find and view the live status and availability of all of its charge points at any time.

Payment for IONITY charge points can be made easily directly in the Zapmap app or with the new Zapmap charging card.
