Kia Motors has announced that it will unveil an electric all-wheel drive (e-AWD) concept vehicle at the upcoming Chicago Auto Show.

This 4×4 electric vehicle concept was conceived by Kia’s California design studio and is intended for city dwellers seeking an escape the outdoors.

Kia’s newest concept will be revealed at the Chicago Motor Show on the Kia stand Thursday, February 12 at 9 AM.

The teaser image hints this could be the next incarnation of the recently released Soul EV.

With an official 132 mile range the Soul EV has become an instant player in the market. Kia were so confident of its impressive driving range that they teamed with Next Green Car to test the Soul EV to it’s limit.

Below is a video of the Soul EV navigating the highs and lows of Somerset and Wiltshire’s cities, towns, villages and countryside, on a specially designed route that was planned to ensure all road types and traffic environments were included.

In the end the Soul EV registered a range of 125.3 miles with an estimated 9 miles more on the clock.
