Porsche has released its new Panamera, which includes new versions of its E-Hybrid plug-in hybrid models. The updated PHEVs receive a new powertrain boosting electric only range by almost a third.
Featuring a 17.9 kWh battery, the Panamera 4S E-Hybrid now has a range of up to 34 miles on a charge. Powered by a combination of 100 kW electric motor and 2.9 litre V6 petrol engine, the Panamera 4S E-Hybrid boasts a combined 560 hp and 750 Nm of torque, allowing for a 0-62 mph time of just 3.7 seconds.
The range increase is made possible thanks to an increase in battery capacity from 14.1 kWh to 17.9 kWh. Drivers also get an optimised set of driving modes, including E-Power, Hybrid Auto, E-Hold, E-Charge, Sport, and Sport Plus.
Official combined fuel economy varies from 94.2 to 128.4 MPG depending on specification, with CO2 emissions varying between 67 and 51 g/km respectively.
The E-Hybrid models share other changes with the rest of the line-up, including tweaked styling, new wheels, and improved kit. As before, E-Hybrid models are available in both Panamera saloon (hatchback) and Panamera Sport Turismo (estate) configurations.
Prices for the new Panamera 4S E-Hybrid start at £101,690 and the Panamera 4S E-Hybrid Sport Turismo from £103,840.
