Renault has launched the Captur E-Tech Plug-in Hybrid and Megane E-Tech Plug-in Hybrid models in the UK, with both PHEVs now available to order.
The Captur E-Tech Plug-in Hybrid and Megane E-Tech Plug-in Hybrid both use a 9.8 kWh battery, able to be charged at up to 3.6 kW. This allows for a range of up to 30 miles on a charge for both models, and CO2 emissions of 30 g/km.
A free home charge point is available with both PHEV models, and a B mode is fitted to the gear selector for increased brake energy recuperation.
Renault has made much of both its expertise in electric vehicles and the electric elements developed by its Formula 1 team, to aid efficiency and boost performance.
Captur E-Tech prices start at £30,495, with first deliveries expected in October. The Megane E-Tech’s price is almost identical at £30,685, though first deliveries aren’t expected until a month later. Both are available to order now.
