Recent analysis by AlphaElectric on the Saga Group’s fleet has proven that businesses could save thousands by changing to an electric vehicle fleet.

Saga switched out its fleet of LCV diesel vehicles for four Renault Kangoo ZE electric vans. All in all AlphaElectric and Saga found the EVs offered a wholelife cost savings of over £4000 per vehicle as well as significant CO2 reductions.

Lukas Jansen Van Vure, Saga’s Fleet and In House Services Manager, described the fleet’s move into EVs as ‘plain sailing’. He said ” The drivers use them all day, plug them in to charge at night and come back the next morning and off they go. To the drivers they are just like a normal vehicle”.

Due to the findings, the Saga Group has decided to replace two of its vans making a £1400 saving on fuel and running costs.
