Pod Point has installed 27 new public EV charge points at Hatfield train station, the largest charging hub on the national rail network.
Installed for station operator Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR), the 7 kW units aim to make life easier for EV drivers parking at and using the station. On a key London Commuter line, the hub will prove useful for a number of rail users.
The opening of the 27 new points sees public EV charge units increase 150% in the Welwyn Hatfield district, and there have also been 12 new units installed at Haywards Heath station.
The locations were carefully picked by GTR, which add to the previous 114 charge points installed at sites along its managed rail network.

This is part of a much wider programme of works to improve station facilities at every station across the GTR network and give a better experience to our passengers.”
