Tesla puts Model X crash avoidance technology to the test

With the Tesla’s 3rd production electric vehicle, the Model X, due for launch this year, the Californian-based company has been spotted carrying out some final on-the-road testing on some the car’s autonomous technology features.

Youtuber, Yann Kerhervé, captured a sneak preview of some of the Tesla Model X’s crash avoidance in the video below.

The vehicle appears to be re-righting it’s course as soon as it exits the lane, using sensors built into the EV.

Tesla is planning to make the Model X available to order in the next few months. It will offer a more spacious alternative to the successful Model S and will also be fitted with a futuristic wing-door mechanism.
