Vauxhall has announced prices and specification details for its Vivaro-e pure-electric van. The new model starts from £28,362 (OTR, exc. VAT & inc. PiVG).

Available with a choice of two battery sizes – 50 kWh or 75 kWh – the Vauxhall Vivaro-e offers a maximum official range of 205 miles on a charge.

As well as two battery packs to choose from, there are two trim levels – Dynamic & Elite – two body lengths – L1H1 & L2H1- and two body styles – Van & Double Cab.

Powered by a 100 KW (136 hp) electric motor, the Vauxhall Vivaro-e has a range of 144 miles on a charge with the 50 kWh pack fitted, and requires the 75 kWh battery for the headline 200+ mile range.

Both are easily capable of covering a daily weekday mileage of more than 75 miles, based on an average annual fleet average of 20,000 miles.

Three driving modes will help drivers get the most out of their Vivaro-e, with Eco, Normal, and Power tailoring power output dependent on requirements. The MyVauxhall App offers the usual EV connected vehicle services, including charge check, remote charging, and pre-conditioning.

Charging is possible at up to 100 kW DC via the CCS inlet, which will recharge a 50 kWh battery model to 80% in half an hour, and the larger battery in & 75 around 45 minutes. The standard on-board AC charger is rated at 7.4 kW, though there is a three-phase 11 kW on-board charger available as an option.

Standard equipment includes an electronic parking brake, cruise control, 7-inch colour infotainment system with DAB & Bluetooth, 16-inch alloys, automatic wipers & lights, and rear parking sensors. Moving from Dynamic to Elite adds a FlexCargo load-through bulkhead, fold-flat centre seat back work-surface, rear parking camera, head-up display, satellite navigation, and 17-inch alloys.

The Vivaro-e L1H1 50 kWh Dynamic starts at the above price, though with all pricing subject to the Plug-in Van Grant (PiVG). This is subject to approval, but this should be a matter of time, rather than any issues or lack of requirements being met.

The entry-level OTR price – also excluding VAT but including PiVG – for the L1H1 75 kWh model is £32,862. OTR Prices for 50 kWh and 75 kWh battery L2H1 models start at £29,512 and £34,012 respectively.

Orders are being taken now, with first deliveries expected in October.
