The Energise Network, a new public charging network located in South East England, has announced a partnership with Charge Your Car (CYC), following in the footsteps of other regional networks Source West and GMEV.

The Energise Network, which was officially launched at the end of June 2014, is planning to oversee 50 rapid charge point installations in the South East over the next year. The roll-out will be supported by £2.4 million of government funding assigned by the Office of Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV).

Locations where the first rapid charge points are to be installed include: Midhurst, Guildford, Dorking, Runnymede and Herstmonceaux, Future sites will include: Brighton, Chichester, Dover, Ramsgate, Ashford, Cantebury, Folkestone, Rye, Gatwick and Worthing.

The scheme will have its own branded card (register here) but operate as part of the wider CYC national network. This means membership to the Energise Network will allow access to all CYC charging points, including those in the Source West and GMEV networks.

Furthermore, due to a relationship between CYC and Ecotricity, card holders will also gain access to Ecotricity’s Electric Highway public charging network.energise charging network

All the Energise Network charging points can be found on Zap-Map’s UK-wide charging point map, Zap-Map Live.
