Peugeot has revealed the e-Traveller – a pure-electric version of its Traveller MPV. The new e-Traveller shares a platform with the recently released e-Expert van, and has a range of up to 143 miles on a charge.

That range is possible thanks to a 50 kWh battery, which drives a 100 kW electric motor. Three driving modes see that power able to be restricted for greater range however, with Eco limiting output to 60 kW, Normal set at 80 kW, and Sport delivering the full 100 kW.

Ultra-rapid charging at up to 100 kW DC is possible via the Type 2 CCS inlet, with a 7.4 kW on-board charger fitted as standard. Peugeot offers the option of an 11 kW AC on-board charger for faster top-ups where available.

Seating is available for up to eight, with two different body lengths on offer – Standard and Long. With eight seats fitted, there remains 1,500 litres of luggage space, doubling when seats are reduced to five. With both rear rows removed, the e-Traveller has 4,900 litres of load space, and towing is possible for loads rated at up to one tonne.

Pricing and UK specifications will be announced closer to on-sale date, with the e-Traveller set to arrive in the second half of 2020.
