Electric vehicle (EV) drivers in Croydon will now be able to charge their vehicles in as little as 30 minutes thanks to RAW Charging’s newest charging hub.

Located just off Waddon Marsh Way, next to Valley Retail Park, the new hub contains four dual 150 kW chargers which will allow eight vehicles to charge simultaneously, the hub is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The ultra-rapid DC chargers can deliver a full charge in an average of 30-40 minutes - if a user's EV is only able to accept a lower kW DC amount, they can still use ultra-rapid charge points, the power will just be restricted to whatever their vehicle can deal with.

RAW Charging charge points can be found across London and the wider UK, they can be located on Zapmap’s web map, or mobile app - simply select RAW Charging in the network filter.

The new hub has been built on disused land as part of RAW Charging's commitment to a sustainable future.

“The launch of our latest ChargeYard will provide a vital EV charging resource for the people of Croydon," said Bruce Galliford, RAW Charging CEO.

"Based in the town centre, the new location will be of great benefit to those who live and work in the area.

“By converting previously disused land we are bringing sites back into use in a sustainable way while providing a crucial resource.

“We hope increasing the availability of charging infrastructure will encourage more individuals to embrace electric vehicles as we move towards the UK’s net carbon zero future.”
