Tesla has announced the opening of it’s 20th Supercharger station seven months after the first UK Supercharger Station was revealed at the Royal Victoria Docks, East London.

This achievement reasserts Tesla’s intent to reach national coverage of the UK with their Supercharger network. Overall, the company wants to enable Tesla drivers to travel the length and breadth of the country off a single 20 minute charge from one of these 120kW stations.

Tesla has promised that this will be possible by the end of this year. What’s more, once supercharging is activated Model S customers will enjoy free access to Supercharger points for the life of the electric car.
