Zap-Map has passed a significant milestone with more than 40,000 users now making the most of the UK’s leading EV charging platform.

With new features already in the pipeline and an ever increasing number of plug-in vehicles on Britain’s roads – currently numbering around 80,000 – the future looks bright for Zap-Map users.

The milestone was passed in August and comes at a point in time when major changes are taking place within the company. This includes the appointment of two new non-exec directors who will help drive the brand forward and, together with new planned features, will keep Zap-Map as the number one EV drivers’ resource.

Future developments include Zap-Pay – a payment and access system allowing drivers to use any point across a range of participating networks – and Zap-Insights – a research tool that will let EV drivers help shape the market they are part of with opt-in surveys and incentives.

Dr Ben Lane, founder and director of Next Green Car Ltd said: “We continue in our mission to get the information EV drivers need into EV drivers’ hands. Having achieved our initial objective to build smart, simple-to-use tools powered by a quality dataset, we are now focusing on extending the product range across a purpose-built Zap platform.”

Melanie Shufflebotham, director of Next Green Car Ltd commented: “We are delighted to have Patrick Fuller and Keith Johnston on board as non-exec directors; their experience and market knowledge will help form our strategy as we build new smart tools for EV drivers and B2B products to help companies deliver electric mobility solutions.”
