Andersen EV has launched its next generation charge point, the A2 – a premium 22 kW unit boasting smart home charging features.
The new unit is able to use Andersen’s Kønnect smart service, a subscription free app that connects to the home’s wifi for users to remotely control, monitor, lock or share their charge point.
Owners can see charging status, live energy usage, charge costs, and time to full charge from their phone or computer at any time.
David Simpson, Andersen’s technical director says: “We built Kønnect because we wanted our customers to have safe control over their charge point and access to useful data.
“I want to know how much my charge has cost me, and I want to know that someone else isn’t plugging into my charge point and using it without me knowing. And for businesses who want to share, control and manage simultaneous charging across a number of vehicles Kønnect is an absolute need.”
Business users can manage and get reports on load balancing by using the Kønnect back office system. It also allows for prioritisation of vehicle charging.
Eligible for the OLEV Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme (EVHS) and Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS) grants, the UK-built Andersen A2 is available to order now, from £885.
