To incentivise buyers, Vauxhall is offering 30,000 miles of free electricity for charging, as well as a six-month subscription to the Polar public charging network.

New Corsa-e buyers who make a personal contract hire purchases before the 11th January 2021 will be eligible for a free home charging unit and an exclusive tariff through British Gas. The dual-fuel tariff comes with a credit to cover the equivalent of 30,000 miles over a three-year period. Running an equivalent 1.2-litre petrol Corsa would cost £2,900 at today’s petrol prices, for comparison.

As part of the offer, buyers will also get a free six-month subscription to the Polar charging network (now bp Pulse) — locations can be found on our live map. This means that Corsa-e owners can benefit from a reduced charging tariff at rapid chargers around the UK. While most people charge at home, this is handy for when owners are out and about on longer journeys.

The Corsa-e is powered by a 50kWh battery with a range of up to 209 miles on a single charge. It also supports 100kW rapid charging, which allows for a charge from 0-80% in just 30 minutes. At a 50KW rapid charger, it’ll charge to 80% in less than an hour.

Deliveries of the new Corse-e started in April this year and it’s proved a strong choice for buyers of new electric cars with its 200-mile-plus range and an array of standard tech from the base model.
