How do I register with Zap-Map?
To register and set up an account with Zap-Map go to the account menu and select ‘Sign in/Register’. Complete and submit all the requested details on the forms provided.
You will then receive an activation email from us (if you haven’t received an email, please check your spam folder). Follow the activation link to complete your registration. Use your email or username and password to log in.
How do I update my account details?
To update your account details log into your Zap-Map account, select ‘Your profile’ in the account menu and make the relevant changes, then press ‘Update’.
Email addresses can be changed by emailing us direct with the request to support@zap-map.com. When you receive a confirmation email, there will also be an option to ‘Update subscription preferences’. Once completed, we will send you an email us to confirm that your email address has been updated.
How do I update my account password?
To change your password, log in and select ‘Your profile’ in the account menu, change your password, then press ‘Update’.
Alternatively, use the ‘Lost your password?’ link at the bottom of the login page. You will then receive an email from us with a link to update your password. If you haven’t received an email, please check your spam folder.
How do I add an avatar?
First, log into your account, then go to ‘Your profile’ in the account menu, upload your avatar picture then press ‘Update’.
How can I add an EV model to my profile?
Open the account menu and go to ‘Your EV Models’. Press ‘Add your EV model’, select your brand and model, then press ‘Update’. Adding your EV Model to your Zap-Map account allows you to filter charge points that are compatible with your electric vehicle and accurately plan routes using the Zap-Map Route Planner.
How can I update my contact preferences?
Log into your account and go to ‘Contact preferences’ in the account menu. Then choose the type of information you would like to receive and the contact method(s) you would like us to use and press ‘Update’.
What is Zap-Home?
Zap-Home is a home charging peer-to-peer sharing system that allows users to add their home point on Zap-Map. See our Zap-Home Network Guide and our Terms and conditions for more information.
What is Zap-Work?
Zap-Work is a peer-to-peer sharing system for charge points at a workplace that are not already part of an existing network. Check out our Zap-Work Network Guide and our Terms and conditions for more information.
How do I add my home/workplace point to Zap-Map?
To add your charge point to Zap-Home or Zap-Work complete the relevant Add a charge point form on the website or app.
How do I edit my Zap-Home/Work point on Zap-Map?
You can edit you charge point details, connector types, price, and location on Zap-Map by logging into your Zap-Map account, then choosing ‘Your Zap-Home point’ or ‘Your Zap-Work point’ in the account menu. To remove your Zap-Home or Zap-Work point from the map, please email support@zap-map.com.
